    Couldn't resist it........ pulled it all apart and the piston has two rings on it so that answers that question. The crank is stuffed, all the joints are flogged out, not to mention the shafts are undersize in relation to the flywheel and eccentric thing on the other side..... I am going to...

    Think it needs a bit more than that...... The crank is loose as are all the fittings etc.... Needs a LOT of work. I have downloaded the 5 pages of plans from here for the 3" vertical boiler, will this be big enough to run the engine without running out of steam or will i need to scale it up...
