    Rocker Style vs. QCTP

Having just added a size "0" QCTP from Machfit via Banggood in China to my 1949 vintage Myford ML 7 I must say that the results are outstanding. Only thing I had to make was a new securing bolt. I had the four way tool post and somewhere I have an index able four way as well. While they worked...

    Rocker Style vs. QCTP

Danuzzo, I see that you are in the USA. There is a company called Metal Supermarkets who have outlets in Canada and the US. Look them up on their website. They have about 80 outlets the last time I looked. I buy all my stock from them cut to size plus a bit for machining. If they don't have...

Contact BA BOLTS on the web. They claim to be able to supply (make) any bolt you want in any quantity. So far they've come up with my BSF requests. RonW

    Stephenson's Rocket--Working Model

Hi Brian, I guess either you copied Hornby or they copied you. Sam's trains just put out a "road test" of Hornby's Stephenson rocket model. If I got the address correct its at They endorse your colour scheme except for the funnel. RonW

    Select 816 B Lathe Acquired

If it says made in England then it's a fair bet it might be a P&B chuck. Does it have about a 3/4" circular depression in the face where a decal might have been. All my 3 P& B's have this but the decals have long since disappeared. Contact them and supply the numbers. They'll tell you if they...

    Select 816 B Lathe Acquired

If your chuck brand can be determined and the scroll/jaw/body numbers are visible and correct, try contacting the manufacturer of the chuck and see if they will produce a set of external jaws for you. I know Pratt and Burnard used to offer this service. Costs nothing to ask. RonW

    Building a 5C collet holder

Hi hopsteiner, what make is your grinder? A few pictures of the unit itself would be nice. Most of the tool post grinders I've seen are huge and not terribly practical in a small shop setting. Yours looks a reasonable size. I see it's made in the US. Congratulations on a good build. I'm just...

Super job Harold. Two questions, the video has disappeared and two, can the photobucket logs be removed so you can see your beautiful work. Half the photos have the crucial part covered. Otherwise, excellent!! RonW
