    Piston material?

    I have used aluminum and leaded steel in brass cylinders. Also have used stainless steel in a bronze bore. Metal pistons can be made thin walled & light. They are lubricated with powdered graphite on a q tip swab. However graphite pistons work best. Lyn S.

    All breaker points arc somewhat, if they are burning blue or piting then you have a problem. If you are using a round can type auto coil , then use a auto condenser. Any older auto shop should have alot of cond. laying around. Don`t worry about capacity. Find real old auto shop as breaker...

    Burner Wick Material

    I use very fine strand copper wire. A piece from an auto starter brush lead works for me. It seems to give the alcohol flame a tint, so you can see it. Lyn S.

    Laminar Flow or Thermal-Acoustic Engines
