    Shellac Mandrels and Chucks.

Hi. Also superglue (cyanoacrylate) often works well. Most of them can be dissolved in an acetone bath, or in nitromethane. Also, I sometimes use epoxy to mount parts for machining, or just to support brittle or thin parts. Epoxy is then removed with dimethylformamide. Lauri

    Machinable ceramic

Now I've ordered some Macor in 1,25" dia. We'll see what happens.. L

    Machinable ceramic

Thanks, I'll check McMaster-Carr. I don't really care of the price as long as I can get it (I need 30mm dia. barstock). This is not for hit&miss engine, I want to try ceramic because the burning process is too cold at the moment, thus unstable. I can stabilize the process with differend...

    Machinable ceramic

Hi. I am also interested in finding a supplier for machinable ceramic material. I would like to make a combustion chamber to my engine of it. I have some ideas why I think it would be worth trying in my case. I was googling the subject a little and bumbed into a material called...

different piston design for IC engine

different piston design for IC engine

Thanks. Yes, I spent last summer playing with differend venturi's :). But I must say that with a healthy engine, with good thermalbalance and stabile burning process, the venturi shape shouldn't be too critical. I am working with an overly powerfull and super light engine which tends to run too...

different piston design for IC engine

..and the latest muffler. The engine weights 270grams + the side resonant muffler which is a little under 40g. L

different piston design for IC engine

Yes, it works well. The set in the picture has been running for allmost 100 hours and shows very little wear and no carbon buildup. So, mechanically it is very good. But to work perfectly as a control line aerobatic engine, there is still a long way to go as the requirements are a bit differend...

different piston design for IC engine

Hi. How about this? This is the piston/cylinder group of our control line engine. L

    Hello everybody.
