    Zero-seven Hit & Miss

Thanks for that Jason. So did you make the counter bore for the spark plug deeper than the .450" shown on the drawing so the spark plug end just protrudes into the cylinder bore?

Jason. I've just started my build of this engine. I like your rectangular hopper idea and will copy that. What spark plug did you use? Did you use Viton 0 rings for the piston rings? Ian

    Swifty's build of Howell V4

Thanks for that Bob, I understand that the exhaust lobes face the ends of the shaft. It's the orientation of the two cam pairs on each shafts I'm not sure about. As you can see on my photos both cam shafts are the same, is this correct? Ian

    Swifty's build of Howell V4

Hello.I'm making progress in building the Jerry Howell V4 from the plans I purchased.I'm at the cam shaft stage and have managed to confuse my self ( nothing unusual about that !) I have made the cam pairs as the plans> ie "handed" for cylinders 1,2 and 3,4 and assembled them on the shafts as...

    Swifty's build of Howell V4

Hello. I have just stumbled across this build thread and finding it very helpful as I've just started to build the V4 to Jerry's plans. I've made a start on the engine block and am at the point of boring the cylinder bores. In the build notes Jerry suggest mounting the block on a rotary table...

    Farm Boy 651

I did not harden mine but I think the idea of drilling it out is to lighten it a bit. I build mine a couple of years ago. Here is a short video of it running:-

Hi Rudy. On sheet 5 showing the piston drawing the note says " make the groove .105" wide and .110" deep for 094" section by 1" diam O ring" Ian

    Arduino Rotary Table for Dummies

Thanks for that John. I still could not get Bmac2's sketch to work. But after changing the key pad connections yours is good to go. What is a good value to enter for step delay ? I've set it at 1000. Thank you. Ian
