You may want to consider adding a couple more pieces of angle to the lower half, this way you can have a "Table" to rest the parts on & let the press come up through the bottom & create some different press plates for removing bearings as well. John

All that I can add is that it looks great! I'm not sure about that front axle ("Perch") mount though. It seems strange how small it was on the real machine. I like your idea though... Thinking ahead...I think the rear platform was too short from the plans, there was something up with that...

Wonderful work Terry! Forgive me if I missed it in previous posts (I get sidetracked pretty easily with all your great pix..), but how are you tapping the holes in all that aluminum? Have you tried form taps? What are you using for cutting fluid? Are you just using the recommended drill sizes...

But what about the valve eccentrics? How do those work when the valve gear is inside the crank throws? John
