Or import just the important part from UK. Over here (Europe) you can buy metric or imperial lead screw to Chinese lathes. If need is only for threading there should be odd size change gear to compensate wrong lead screw, I have metric lathe and I can cut imperial threads.

This is on my list, I was just waiting if someone had done something more clever. I don´t have wipers, but I have piece of mudflap rubber under tool, mounted using 2 holes for moving support.

More advantage and maybe more important this is way less power hungry method to cut thread with larger pitch.

Over here metric world good starting point is 0.1mm undersize from nominal diameter. Sometimes it is not possible, so one fast filing push is needed to flatten thread a little. Metric normal thread is not the best there is but that's not the point. Thumb rule for thread depth is same as pitch...

Some other motors take longer to make and still they have complete set of drawing at the beginning. I think I lost something when translating but still thumbs up :thumbup:

Me thinks pound is strong currency and will rise back and act like it should, this is just short term drop. So there is 2 years time to buy home shop tools with reasonable price, locally such things wont even exist over here. I live in Finland and most of as are ready to leave EU, our politician...

Lots of thick slide way oil number 68 and less cleaning to keep as much as possible this oil in place. Monday I'm starting new job and now I can see it might be possible to move near future :hDe: Shed with floor and some sort of heating would be really nice.
