Hello, I am Vidmantas from Lithuania.
I would like to show recently made Christmas souvenir for my family - my second Stirling engine.
The cold plate is made from 6 mm glass and movement of displacer is well visible.
I used springs instead bolts and pillars?for displacer cylinder constriction between cold and hot plates. The springs are better ventilated by air. Also springs are bad heat conductors contra bolts - pillars.
The flywheel is from Kontax UK.
From one palm heat speed is about 120 - 160 rpm. But I dont know yet what speed is from candle, when displacer, graphite piston and beams are very quickly vibrating :))
Tomorrow the wooden base will be changed to polished stone.
More about this construction will be latter?contained in www.qrz.lt/ly2ht
Vidmantas.
