I was doing a little cleaning up in my shop tonight and saw a few things that I hadn't
given the appropriate thought to in the past.

I have two hobbies that evidently don't fit together safely in a small basement shop.
My #1 hobby is the model machine shop.
The 2ed is restoring antique small engines.

In my cleaning up I dusted chips off the top of a parts washer that is about 8 feet away
from my mini mill....

My tool box sits at the end of my lathe bench.
I store the alcohol and naphtha that I use to run my flame licker engines in the bottom
area of the rollaway box. I cleaned chips out of there as well...

Sometimes stupidity sneaks up on us.
Or maybe I was born with it! :-\

that reminds me of the shop layout I saw in a turn of the century model engineering book. they had the shelf for the painting supplies next to the forge. HMMM
