Hi All!

Well today i started and finished my first engine!!
Been talking about it for quite some time now...
Now all the hype and excitement is done!

It is just a very simple engine and perfect for beginners.
I would do a few things differently next time though!
It is quite wierd building just from plans, no explanation of which step to do first.
Just dive in and figure it out!

I did not take too many pics as there are many builds of "How To" posted here!

Will do a more detailed log when i start the next, more interesting engine!!

Andrew

Ha, congrats! It seems like everyone but me has built one of these engines. Looks good! Deburr your hose barb. ;D

Thanks Vernon!

The hose barb was a last minute thing...
Could not get a grip on it with my fingers, so the pliers got involved...
That is why it looks a bit wrecked!
Will be remade in steel or brass!

Have to go out and the wife is complaining that i spent most of the day hiding in my "Man Cave"
;D

Congratulations Andrew! First engine and all in one day! Nice.

Get a vid!

Good job it looks great
did you use cast brass for the cylinder?
I like the touch with the taper and grooves.

Congratulations Andrew - well done ! Thm:
It's a great feeling to put together one's first engine; could tell you're excited ;D

Have you tried to run it yet?

And since nobody else asked, I will: What's next ???

Regards, Arnold

PS: Better get used to getting ripped up about spending time in the man cave - there's
quite a few tips hidden amongst more experienced members' posts on how to placate the significant other.
