Video format

Hi compy wizards...

If you take as a given that I am a rank amateur in the computing world you wouldn't be overestimating my talents therein... :shrug: that said, can anyone 'splain to me how to go about changing a video clip with a xxx.mov extension (Quicktime) to something with an xxx.avi or xxx.wmv extension? Is this even possible?

I've tried several video format converters.
The one I use is from A-One software.
It's a $25 program that is easy to use and it actually WORKS!

Here is a freeware alternative.

It is fairly easy to use and I haven't run into any issues with it.

In the profile section (top right of the window), you can choose from the following:

And if you want to resize it, there is the following section on the right:

Click on the 320x240 and it will give different options. You can also select the video bitrate to use post-conversion. The higher the bitrate, the higher the quality (and also the larger file size). The default value of 768 is a decent number to use if uploading to, say, YouTube. If doing that, I would also use 640x480 as the size, unless your source video is smaller than that.

Great Program.
I've tried every free program that I could find before acquiring the
aone program. None of them worked well at all.
That one does.
Kodak owners take notice!
