upshur vertical overhead valve engine

I'm building my first IC engine . using plans for a Upshur vertical overhead valve engine . my question is has anyone built this engine using a hall effect transistor & magnet ? if so can you share what modifications to mount it that you did ? I want to use the economy ignition package from Model -engine-ignition . com , has any one used this package ? thanks for your help . John
