Hi all
I am quite new to steam engine building so I hope this dosen't sound stupid. I have some steam engine plans that I want to upscale, For arguments sake, lets say i'm making it double the size. My question is are all the inlet and outlet ports also double the size? I ask this because I take it the steam or air supply pipe is always going to be around 1/8" or 1/4" on a smallish engine so if the ports are larger they are still only supplied by a 1/8" or 1/4" pipe Hope this makes sense.

Yes, You double everything , Particularly the port sizes and the dimensions between the ports must be doubled in your example
The engine will still run if the supply pipe is small (1/8" ie) it just will not develop full power if the air flow is restricted. If you run on steam , the supply pipe is not as critical
