while I'm waiting to start a new build of an engine, or to fix my last build that doesn't run, I like to work on some new tools...

I wanted to build an hand tapper and after some thoughts about it I built this one

I bought the vise on ebay, a cheap chinese one, and it is the worst tool that I had ever bought :big: totally unusable
but fixing it to make it usable was funny

the tapper can be used in this way

but with small taps it isn't so easy, because there isn't enough space if the tap is short, so I ended with this solution

the chuck is a keyless rhom chuck that I didn't need, but it was a morse taper 2 while I needed a straight shank to slide in the 'collet'
so, time to try my self-build grinding attachment

I build it in 2 pieces, so the motor can be used in another setup

the same motor moves my refurbished old polishing wheels

there is time to show also the light that I installed onto the mill arbor, the common LED type that is sold for photo macro
