When the assembly was completed on the bucket sheave block for the model steam shovel last night, I could not resist tying it on with a piece of string and standing back for a look. Then I attached an old harness snap, so now it looks like a crane that would pick something up.

You need to make a drag bucket for it Birk.
Those surface miners will pay 60% more for a Dragline
than they would for a Crane. ;)

Hello Birk, I just clicked the link at the bottom of your photo' and found myself in your little album (hope that's ok?)
Two things.... Your creations are extremely impressive... HUGE amount of talent :bow:

and I have to say after spending almost 3 hours on a little simple crank last night, seeing those two on your hand has made me extremely jealous and wondering how could such a thing be machined?!? truly awesome! :bow: (if you ever feel like sharing that one I would like to be near the front of the audience! ;D )
