Timing

I have a 1" Case Traction Engine built by my uncle and it is out of time, Im looking for suggestions on where to star to set the excentric. it is a Coles model hasn't run for 20 yrs It has a reversing lever.

Looking at this, it appears to have Hackworth valve gear. Depending on the layout, the eccentric is either set in time with the crankpin, or opposite it (180°). From the video seems that this one is set opposite.
