Just completed my Thumb drive engine, built it using some used gears I had and a one way clutch. I would like to add a generator to power a couple of LED's Wondering if I could put round magnets in the side of the flywheel and maybe a small coil. I am not sure this would work does anyone have any suggestions.

Round neodymium magnets and a small relay coil should do the trick.

Use a brushless rc motor 3phase power !
