Hi All,

Just wanted to share a project I started in early October and finished just at the new years eve (or kind of finished as it is still in the breaking in stage, but running allready pretty nicely).

This one is made according to the rare MotorBoys International plans that I happened to stumble upon while browsing model engine sites and the ready plans was delivered to me by an original MBI member Ken Croft.

Project included my own castings which took a bit of learning as I startedliterally from scratch but with the help of multiple fellow engine enthusiasts I was able to produce castings that would work.

Fantastic! I love the industrial design, as compared to the usual utilitarian shape of these things. I also love how it runs. I was not aware that MBI had plans - can you provide a link?

If you want to see ugly, check out the PMC Imp (PMC IMP), which runs well but looks atrocious alongside yours.

Thanks rklopp, I just loved the torpedo looks of the original also and that was one of the main reasons I started the project. Other one was the fact that while I red that late Ron Chernich had been working on the plans for it I approached Ken Croft and while I was hoping for partially finished plans, Ken found complete plans in true Ron C / MBI quality both in metric and in imperial. It seems these plans were ready made but never got published by MBI.

PMC Imp I am familiar with through these forums, nothing wrong with that design, reminds me little of the Boll Aero that was my first one, but surely a little bit different design approach what comes to the looks :)

I also had a copy of the original drawings by Leo Jeppesen to go with which I got with a help of fellow modellers from Sweden.

I have the plans and will happily forward them to you. Can you post your email address to me for example via private message so I will mail the plans to you.

rgds
