The impossible dovetail cube

Saw this on Utube and decided to make one.Well described on Utube so no need for details.I have made a no of turners cubes,the smaller ones go down well as card protectors at my poker evenings.Decided on nom 35mm sq alum
Left the cube oversize and cut the dovetails with a carbide router bit working
from diagonal centre line out.Finished the dovetails and pinned with a 6mm brass screw before machining outside dims etc. Also made 4 no brass plugs
to disguise the main pin. Will see if I can fool anyone next poker night

Great minds (mine ??) think alike. I have made a few of these as "warm-up" projects. Great fun to stump your friends.

I also made a 2 x 2 x 2 dice paperweight out of aluminum: Brass would have been more cool, but pretty costly.

Like your cube thanks for posting.Found the belt sander mods great
If I see the the cheap 1" sander I will also have a go.I did a thread on
the 6" disc sander and use it all the time.The 1" belt would be great for small
items. Regards barry
