Hallo Model Engine Friends,
Again some photos made during the making from the Crankcase backplate.
I am using now good quality Allen head screws for the cilinderhead.
The spraybar and needle are on it's place mounted.
I need to cut out the small gas passages in the Cilinderliner,a good quality Piston ,Wristpin and a good quality Conrod.
We'll see time is needed to make these parts as well of course.
Many greetings from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Model Engine Friends,

I made a number of photos during the repair/restore from the Crankpin on the Crankweb.
The first silversteel Crankpin did n't fit properly so my son Robert fixed the Crankpin into the Crankweb with a special welding technik. It did n't work because of the fact that the hole was n't Ok for that size of Crankpin.
A new Crankpin from an even better material was made to the right size and fitted with a little bit of pressure and with the assistance of Loctite 648 hopefullu this will work out better.
I hope you like the photos.

Many greetings from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Model Engine Friends,
These photos are made during the milling work to "create" an aceptable exhaust port into the Cilinder Liner and an Exhaust opening into the steel Main part of the Crankcase part of the engine.
The result is n't what i had been hoping for, special the opening in the Main part of the Crankcase is far below the standard i should like to have it much more straight.
How this could happen probably not secure/precisely enough during the measurments and in some way a few faults during the adjustment from my milling machine. My machinery is very leight weight so when it's wrong it's really wrong.Next time better i think no reason for holding with my work.
I hope you like the photos from my let's say "could be much better work".

Many greetings from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Model Engine Friends,
Here are a number of photos made during the milling and finishing from the cilinder ports and the transfer channels in the Crankcase.
I am not ready yet because i discovered differences between my transfer channels and the ones on the drawing we'll see how this
ends
I hope you like the photos anyway.

Many greetings from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Dear Model Engine Friends,
A number of photos to show you my struggle in finishing this engine.
The porting will not be what the designer ment with port messurements and so on so let us hope thatmy engine will be having a chance of running properly.
We will see it's all not the end so a new liner can be made in a short delay of time only the milling of the transfer ports are taking time.
I hope that you enjoy the photos.

Many greetings from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Bob,
Thank you for your e.mail.Indeed my workshop looks very clean, but to be honest it's very often a terrible mess which i have to clean each time with the vacuum cleaner.I have to do this because of the small paricles of aloy ,copper, brass and steel which i take with me when i left the hobbyroom under the ceiling downstairs. My hobbyroom is a small one direct situated under the roof separated ,but also beneath my bureau and laptop in that same room.I have a perfect view on our farmer fields with a nice view on a working wind mills which is Holland so famous for.
I spent a whole lot of time with my model engines it's a great hobby to be busy with.
I apreciate your interest in my hobby making model engines or at least a try to very much.
All the best for you Bob from modelmotor-Gerard-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hi Bob. Following your build with interest, you are doing a great job.
Could I ask for a description on how you machined the con.rod ? This an component I always have a problem with.
Again great job.
Regards from Central Scotland

Hallo Model Engine Friends,
