taps

I was sorting my taps and found two taps.
One marked vega 10-32 STI GH2
The other 10-32 usa
the first has an outside diameter of .233"
the second .194"
can't figure out the difference.
I actually have several of each.
Anyone out there that can help?

Hey Rob,

Looks to me and a quick google search sti stands for screw thread insert, or a heli-coil tap. Best to keep them separate otherwise you’d break the sti tap off in a smaller hole.

Believe me you don't want to mix them!!!! It doesn't hurt to make a point to mark all your STI taps in some way. Maybe a yellow paint marker.
