Thinking about trying to CNC my 8520 Mill what size steppers would you use on this z axis its quite heavy X, Y not bad but heavyer then Min Mill ?

I did my Jet knee mill, which is slightly larger than the 8520. I used about 650 oz-in motors on all 3 axis and it has worked well. I really like doing the knee for Z and leaving the quill free to hand operate. That has made setting Z zero very easy, and is nice for doing delicate drill jobs by hand.
