well after see the posting and great workmanship by stefang i just had to start building one of the standby engines 
i got a bit of work done this after noon but i hope to get more done tomorrow.
the first pic is the start of the main frame
it was just a hunk of ali that came from the scrap box and it will be recycled into a running engine......... i hope!!
the next pic shows the frame done and the base attached
it is a simple engine but none the less i think it is a great looking engine, and i unlike stefang think if i build another one it will be smaller by half ???
any who i hope tomorrow will bring hours of free time to work in the shop.
