Has anyone modified this slitter for a 7x lathe? The plans for it were published in Model Engineers' Workshop August/September 1991 issue. The attached picture is Rob Wilson's build posted on this forum. Rob cast his slotter's body in bronze. I will cast it in Aluminum.
I have a set of drawings done in Solid Works, and have uploaded them to My Fusion 360 account, but am having a hard time modifying the height to fit the 7x lathe. Has anyone modeled this in Fusion that would be willing to share their drawings?
I have 3d printed the body from the Solid Works file, and can cast that, but it would need a lot of machining to mod it for the 7x.
Thanks in advance...
Chuck

Surprisingly, there is a lot of English designs, not merely the slotting attachment that will fit the 7X series of Chinese lathes.
Arnold Throp of Dore Engineering's design is sold as castings by Hemmingwaykits.

Hope this helps
