Late to the party, but yes...I did. Ran Mach3 using an old servo-controller, modified to use parallel port input. But you don't need to do that anymore, because there are a number of vendors supplying stuff like a Gecko G540 controller and an interface that allows use of Mach3 or Mach4, even with Windows 7-10. Not sure about Windows 11.
