No kidding! For that much money you could buy 2 micrometers and do them same go no-go inspection.

Yes a "go" - "no go" micrometer. Mostly used in production engineering for checking small batches of parts. Generally used for random checks by the quality control inspector.

Some E-bay dealer thinks it is a tool to make money.
But as others have said an inspection micrometer. AKA adjustable Snap Gage.
if the tolerance on a part is say .2500 + - .0005 set the outside one to the .2505 and the inside to .2495 all parts will go thought the outside and no go though the inside . Otherwise out of tolerance and reject or rework.
Tin
