I am in the process of adding a stepper motor and driver to my 8” rotary table . The stepper I am going to use (Nema 23} has a shaft out both ends. I want to.
1-take the handle and dial off the rotary table
2-Mount the stepper to the RT shaft via flex cplg
3-Mount the handle and dial to the other end of the stepper motor

Has any one seen a mount that I might build for this.

I don't have web links but I know for certain there are conversion videos on the net. In the end the mount will be rotary table specific. As such you would want to look for info specific to your rotary table. The common approach is a bell shaped extension that can mount to existing hardware on the rotary table

I have done a couple of these installations now but because of the Photobucket fiasco, all the pictures in the post are missing.

If you are interested in seeing everything, I still have all the pictures to go with the post. My bit starts at this bit on the post and is for a 6"unit, John Stevenson (now deceased) said he could fit a thrust washer into the 8" version with things as I have done, let me know if you want pictures.

Due to me only having maybe a month to go before I go (lung cancer), let me know sooner rather than later.

John
