here are a few pictures of the work I have done on the rotary valve engine. This was my first attempt at machining the crankshaft. I used the 4-jaw chuck and dial indicator to make sure it was true and used a parting tool to cut the throws.

Nice work, I still don't have the confidence or skill to do something like that!

That's some nice work. I'd be afraid to hack out a crank from solid, I'd surely find a most spectacular way to bend it!

I also like that you are doing it on a Sherline. Nice little lathes.
