Need I explain?

I am hoping the JB Weld will machine like I think it will. The holes are plugged and with some luck it will be saved. The goof will be hidden when the engine is assembled.

Saveable?

The best thing to do there would be to machine a replacement face for the valve after making sure all the passages are clear. A little epoxy to seal it to the faces and it'll be fine for use on air. I've seen similar patches on cast iron valve faces with the patch being silver soldered in place.

Thanks for the advice.
