Exemption for model aircraft fix wing from currant FAA limit 250g 0.55pounds limitation as stated in the FAA ruling ( Unmanned aircraft that weigh 0.55 pounds or less on takeoff, including everything
that is on board or otherwise attached to
the aircraft.)to 2kg built of at least 50% by weight using balsa wood, foam and or covering materials.
Still limited to a maximum altitude off the ground to 122 meters.
Speed limit to 48 knots.
Only for non commercial uses, hobby use only.
Not for multi rotor drones with or without cameras still limit to 250grams per FAA.

Built from tradition building materials (wood and or foam with covering)
Does not need a gyro to fly
Fix wing design .
Typically made at home
Does not have camera to fly.
Flies line of sight only.

Definition of a Aircraft Drone
Has multi motors
Needs more than 3 motors to fly.
Needs a gyro to fly
Primary made from plastic
Typically flies by a camera
Typically ready to fly.
