I am going to attend the 2010 NAMES show this year this
will be my 4th visit I had figured out Toledo and where to
stay but since it has moved Im not sure about what is good
or bad I have booked a room at a LaQuita Inn on Reeke rd
not to far from the convention, is anyone else staying here
I also have a day to visit the Henry Ford Museum someone
tell me what I should see in the way of machinery and related
stuff I will not have a lot of time so I need items of machining
interest. I will be there on Fri what else is there to see
such as driving tours etc.

One suggestion is to go to the village. You can visit the machine shops and dont miss the round house. If time is limited, skip the houses and visit the wright brothers shop, edison and henery fords shops. Don't forget to take a ride in one of the model T's.

If you visit the museum there are huge steam engines, and steam locomotives.

Too bad you cant see both but it would take ALL day.

Here is something to help with the museum and village so you can sort of plan your route and see if there are some must see things.

The Ford web site

They have up scaled the joint to bring it more in line with the new generation of museum goers.
So they have changed some of it, Haven't been there since the big make over Imax movies, I believe Thomas the tank engine is back.

So spend some time, with the site so you can avoid the new age sillyness and see the things that interest you. If you do get a chance do ride the T's

The factory tour may also be an option, Info on the site.
