Mini-Mill Spindle-Column Alignment

Good feedback!
1. Move the spindle with the test rod downward on the column near the base
2. Place the dial indicator at the bottom of the column touching the rod and lock in place.
3. Take the "Near Spindle" measurements
4. Move the spindle with the test rod upward on the column near the top
5. Take the "Away from Spindle" measurements
Hope this helps.

Ok. I think I got ya now. I'm in the midst of moving from one house to another. I'll be needing to re-align my mill when I get the shop set up. I'll run the numbers through your spreadsheet and report back.

Very handy info here! I am going to work through these procedures as I prepare my X2 mill for the installation of a column stiffener plate.
