Hi Mosey. It depends on the amount of use and type of blade used. In my case the circumfrence of the wheel has a hard rubbery type substance adhered to it, about every five years. My sister, who runs a butcher shop in a busy shopping centre, has them done every one or two years. But meat saws have the blade running on metal.
