Looks like it was covered in two issues of ME, should be able to pick them up on e-bay as they are both there now.

Vol 146 issues 3645 and 3647.

Unfortunately my collection starts with vol 147.

Thank you again for the drawing information you sent me, I have now made the engine from the drawings all went well and the engine runs o.k. I have attached some pictures including my method of machining valves, after machining I saw the centre end off, then make a small collet to hold the valve stem in the chuck to face it to length and m/c the groove, It may work for you it may not, I have only included this because i saw a thread yesterday, the guy building the Chevy engine was having problems.
