Just finished this model based on the Lister junior engine. fitted with a cdi ignition system and an old Irvine RC engine carb, as the as build carb didnt work that well. the castings and drawings supplied by the engineers emporium. a very interesting build, cast iron flywheels and cylinder bore all other castings are aluminium.
valve timing gears where supplied pre-machined as I cant do them myself. Decided to fit the engine on a scale trolley as that's how they usually get around, still not running that well seems to conk out due to fuel starvation.

Nice engine, move the fuel tank so that the top of the tank is level with the carb fuel jet, it may help with the fuel starvation problem.

do you have a non return valve in the fuel line .
I fitted one to the engine i built for someone .
I also made the hole in the fuel cap bigger to avoid vacuum build up in the tank .
The original engine had a fuel lift pump and a fuel return to the tank.
hope this helps

Thanks for your input, Engine running fine with old plastic rc fuel tank that I can move to the correct level.
