Hello fellow members!

I am currently building en Edwards radial engine. Next part I want to make are the piston liners made out of cast iron.

I want to lap the ID to have a perfect fit with the rings but I am not sure about what compound I should use.

I have several grades of diamond paste, but I am afraid of the diamond to be embed into the liner surface.

I´m trying to find Timesaver as it´s advertised as a non-embedding compound, but seems impossible to be get in Spain.

So, I am afraid I am lost and all of your ideas will be more than welcomed.

Thank you all!!!

Thank you WOB!!!
You´ve dissipated my biggest concern about particles embedding into the material. Very good article, I´ve read it now two times and I think I am now prepared for the challenge!!!

Best regards
