I just stumbled across this video of human powered machines - the helicopter and ornithoptor are especially impressive. No responsibility taken for the time lost if you get sucked into a YouTube loop, or worse, try to build one of these things yourself.

Some interesting machines:) the exoskeleton is reminiscent of the robots in the matrix trilogy :rolleyes: film influencing design again, they have now even made a hover board (ish) from back to the future, though the flux capacitor remains a mystery:D

My favourite in that lot of human powered machines is the wintergarten marble machine, and if you haven't seen or heard it in action please do watch the vid, its mesmerizing:thumbup:

The helicopter is useless anywhere but indoors and most of the footage of the other flying is with a tow line still attached, the human powered aircraft Guy Martin fiddled with was far more interesting and promising.
