I just stumbled across this video of human powered machines - the helicopter and ornithoptor are especially impressive. No responsibility taken for the time lost if you get sucked into a YouTube loop, or worse, try to build one of these things yourself.

Some interesting machines the exoskeleton is reminiscent of the robots in the matrix trilogy film influencing design again, they have now even made a hover board (ish) from back to the future, though the flux capacitor remains a mystery

My favourite in that lot of human powered machines is the wintergarten marble machine, and if you haven't seen or heard it in action please do watch the vid, its mesmerizing:thumbup:

The helicopter is useless anywhere but indoors and most of the footage of the other flying is with a tow line still attached, the human powered aircraft Guy Martin fiddled with was far more interesting and promising.
