I'm new to this forum (obviously), having found it in search of a simple question re. globe valves. I'm the shop director of a 7-1/2" gauge live steam track in Vancouver, BC. Being an "amateur machinist" I'm learning a lot and continue to do so with an old basic machinists apprenticeship and after 16 years working in the shop with a bunch of very talented fellows. My primary love is steam locos - not "motorized boxcars" - but due to the volunteer position I'm in I cross paths with everything from garden tools to TIG welding to propane fitting to using a table saw...you get the picture.
