Hello, new member ( have been lurking) here from Michigan, USA. Just getting my hobby shop together and have yet to do my first project outside of making parts for my equipment.

Well, as I said, I have done a few small jobs making parts for the shop. Any future projects will probably fall in the same category, I do need to make an over arm support for my horizontal mill.
As far as model projects, I am planning on making a basic oscillating engine with my oldest for a 4H project. I would like to get a casting kit, but setting up the shop and some other things will need to come first.

I think you'll find you are always making parts for your equipment. Or fixtures, or tools. Good practice (if you need it).
