I have been searching for a site such as this for some time , basically to educate Myself on the use of My very old "Bonds Maximus" ("Portass) lathe .
At the moment the lathe is in need of restoration & repair which is outside My experience but I am keen to learn .

I am in Suffolk and have restored a few lathes over the years, contact me if you are close by. A good start is to join a model engineering club, usually full of people with a helpful attitude.
