I'm a long time tinkerer, roboticist, bicycle mechanic, boatbuilder, alternative technology enthusiast and general maker and builder of machines. I'm seriously involved in exploring the potential of modern external combustion for green/sustainable solutions, mostly stationary and marine.

I've been doing an informal crash-course in the evolution of steam technology in order to help me make good design decisions. Those decisions have to do with balancing simplicity with efficiency, choice of materials for reliability and long wear, that kind of thing.

I hope to benefit from the advice of the experts here on numerous theoretical/design questions. I plan to build several table scale devices when I've settled on some designs test. Looking forward to chatting online!
