Have enjoyed reading numerous threads on this forum for a few years, now finally joining as a participant. My career is as a Silicon Valley entrepreneur in computer software, but have always had a woodshop and now a machine shop for various personal projects. Recently invested in some serious machining equipment including a Weiler lathe, a Deckel FP1, and a Brother Speedio CNC machine.

    Hello David

Those are some nice machines you have bought.

I would be interested how you get on with the Weiler lathe, they are not very common in the English speaking World.

    Regards

    Baz

So far, Weiler lathe has been very straight-forward to use. Good manuals (in English) and the machine seems well thought out. The tricky part is the additional digital aids that are offered, still working through that stuff, but looks very promissing.

Congratulion you get the most desirable and unpayable machines in Germany the DeckelFP1 and Weiler laith at your shop. I am a litlebit envious.
Do you have them only for passion ? What are you going to do with them?
    Regards
    Michael
