Another new member, also new to model engineering. Trying to re-learn what few skills I picked up in university on the lathe and mill. I've found a used Taig lathe and hope to find a used Taig mill (all manual not CNC). My interest is mainly in building small IC engines, scale models of motorcycle, aircraft and automotive engines - all fields I have worked in. I've been hooked by the likes of L.K. Blackmore's Bentley BR2 and Ron Colonna's Offy. Let the spending begin!!! Space is an issue - therefore the Taigs -so the scale will need to match the equipment. Looking forward to meeting the community.

Best regards

Welcome to the HMEN board. If we get enough Canadians into model engineering we might be able to convince some suppliers to make tooling more available.

Welcome to HMEM Garry.

BC covers a lot of territory.
I have a stepson in Kelowna that we hope to visit soon.
Is that anywhere near you?

Rick

Thanks everyone.

Stan: I'd be content if shipping costs didn't exceed the cost of the items!

Rake60: I'm about 40 minutes south of Kelowna - you can see more here

AllThumbs: No, but my father and brothers have worked for General Motors - I worked
for Honda and Nissan plus the aerospace industry.

Zeusrekning: Bingo. I've given up on your moniker!!!

Cheers all,
Garry
