Have now finished the box crankcase, have had cast one cylinder pair, and had one head machined all without cooling fins so far. as they can be machined in/ fitted on later.
The magneto is fitted with a good spark. as is the carbie and reed valve. As this is as intended, half a flat four, based on a Victa flat twin, I'll mount it on a ordinary mower base for a test run. Hope the balance (from a Victa single crank) is OK, however, but which should improve in flat 4 mode. The other side's cylinders and head are in the process of making now, so I hope it can then advance to a real flat four of 34o ccs. for a test run.......Eventually, maybe on an outboard motor leg unit or motor cycle?
