I can't take credit for the idea, the last job shop I worked in had one built by an old tool maker there. I think the pics speak for themselves. It's made from scrap and a few parts I had laying around.....
The first pic is of the assorted parts, also shows a 1/4 x 3" bolt and nut I made the "adjuster" from.
The next 2 are assembled pics. The last shows how it's used.
