I have been model making since I was " knee high to a fly" but didn't really take to model engineering until my early twenties. I enjoy making all types if models but have specialised in making four stroke engines and have made a total of 32 so far. They range from 6.5c with a four valve head to 150cc three cylinder cross flow side valve and water cooled for a model loco. The engines include singles, twins, threes, fours and a half made V 8. All engines are of my own design and I make the patterns and aluminium castings. When an engine fires up for the first time is a real thrill even after making 32 of them!

Hi George, Keith here up the road in Gladstone. I'm only a recent member and my passed hobbies included restoring vintage , classic cars & motorbikes. Health forced me to change the heavy hobby into light stuff. Very limited in machining skills but learning by my mistakes.
I have posted a few times seeking help (and getting) on my first project. A Henry Fords Kitchen Sink Engine, well a couple of days ago I got it to run more than a few seconds. I shut it off after 5 min, a bit hot. Yes it was a real thrill to hear it run. I now hope to move into smaller models with my limited skills.
