Gear cutting with just a spindex for indexing

I thought maybe some that havent invested in a index table or rotary table might be interested in how I handle it.


 
Good to see that worked for you.
Another method I have used is to use the bolt hole function of the DRO to make another index plate. For a one off job this could be MDF or acylic.

I would look a using a worm gear and purchase a set of dividing plates or Back before 1940 they would buy a set of gears and set quite indexing too.
I have hard clock makes would use the quite index by use just a few gears for cutting clock gears. If they wanted the moon phase it took a 59 tooth gear and most indexing heads do not cut 59.
