Ran across a guy on eBay selling 12L14 steel rounds that are drops off some other machining operation. Could be worth a look for anybody looking for steel flywheel stock-- IIRC they were about $2/ea, ~1" thick x 3.4" or so across. You'll need to turn off the ridge around them and face both sides at a minimum, but they look to be pretty good otherwise.
