First IC engine

Good day all,

I am looking to maybe build an IC engine. This would be my first. One of the plans that I have looked at is Roy Clough's "Little Dragon". However I don't particularly want to have the glow plug. Has anyone built this engine for compression ignition? Would it be a major problem to convert it? Look forward to hearing any comments.

John--My advice for anyone wanting to build their first i.c. engine is to build a Webster. The plans are a free download from the internet, and about a billion people have built them. Their are many build threads on all of the small engine forums, including this one. I have built over 20 i.c. engines, and for my opinion the Webster is a great first engine.

Good day all,

Brian, thanks for your input - however I've followed progress on the Webster, seen the plans etc. but not what I had in mind. I like the Boll Aero, I like the Holly Buddy. Just wondered if the Little Dragon could be "diesalized??". (I think I may be taken away by the language police for that one).
