Have a emco max 11 lathe and the gear box oil is turning to glue. Trying to clean with presole, seems to work, but would like to take out
the primary gear train to get in better to clean..
Took motor belt off and bearing cover. Should pull out yes. If it comes out ill take out the spindle also. Thinking a little with a heat gun
would lossen the bearing????
Also been reading that 10W non detergent oil is best??
Any body have experience with my situation. ??
